Story
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by carrying out assassinations for the highest prize. He soon meets his match in a tough British intelligence officer who pursues him in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. The novel “The Day of the Jackal” is set in 1963 and featured the assassination of then-French President Charles de Gaulle.
I love anything Eddie Redmayne is in
The show adjusts the setting to the current era. Graham Norton references and likes: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). He has a vulnerability that makes me want to delve deeper into the characters.
Neither her acting nor her on-screen personality is worthy
Here, as a cold-blooded killer, she’s a drag in my humble opinion, but it makes sense that someone “apparently hides.” As others have pointed out, the female lead simply ruined it for me. It’s a mystery to me why she keeps getting villainous female roles. There are so many talented actors to choose from.
Her character doesn’t help her cause either
I didn’t think much of her in Captain Marvel, I didn’t like her even less with the 007 issue, and now she just ruins scenes every time she appears. I’ll watch the series to the end, but… it’s so sad that this series won’t be revisited.
It’s already been renewed for a second season
I still don’t know how the story will turn out, but I hope they change Bianca’s character somehow.
